Join our team today.Position Overview Are you interested in working for the City of Kamloops and keeping the ?behind the scenes? of our arenas and civic facilities functioning? If so, our Recreation Facilities Attendant - Arenas position may be a great fit for you. This permanent on-call position is an exciting opportunity for someone interested in working in the Arenas section. While working in an on-call position, you will have the opportunity to work in all our arenas and experience the different facets of the job. The Recreation Facilities Attendant - Arenas role involves setting up and cleaning facilities for special events, various janitorial work, ice maintenance, directing and answering inquiries from the public. If you are an individual that loves to keep busy and has a passion for making our recreation facilities shine, please apply today!The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:Completion of senior secondary school or its equivalent. Valid BC Driver's Licence - Class 5 or equivalent. Ice Facility Operator certificate -theory portion, with the ability to acquire full certification within four (4) months. Note: the experience for this certification is thirty (30) worked days as recognized by Technical Safety BC. For new hires, and for those working in designated positions of trust, including those working directly with vulnerable persons, no formal offer of employment will be made until an applicant completes a police information check. This position will remain open until filled.This position will receive 14% in lieu of all benefits, vacation, stat holidays, and health time.
