Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Taper to join our construction team. As a Taper, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces and applying tape and joint compound to create smooth, seamless finishes on walls and ceilings. Your attention to detail and expertise in drywall finishing will contribute to the overall quality of our construction projects. Responsibilities: - Measure, cut, and apply drywall tape to seams - Apply joint compound over taped areas to create a smooth surface - Use hand tools and power tools to sand, patch, and repair drywall surfaces - Apply texture to walls and ceilings as needed - Ensure all work meets industry standards and project specifications - Collaborate with other construction professionals to complete projects on time Skills: - Strong knowledge of drywall installation and finishing techniques - Proficient in using hand tools and power tools related to drywall work - Ability to read blueprints and interpret construction plans - Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality finishes - Knowledge of caulking techniques for sealing joints and gaps - Familiarity with construction painting processes - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team If you have experience as a Taper or in related fields such as carpentry or maintenance person work, we encourage you to apply.
