Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Noisy. Dusty. Work setting: Construction. Various locations. Renovation. Commercial. Industrial. Residential. Tasks: Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware. Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites. Instruct apprentices. Supervise other workers. Estimate costs and materials. Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Willing to travel. Valid driver's licence. Travel expenses paid by employer. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Handling heavy loads. Overtime required. Physically demanding. Tight deadlines. Own tools/equipment: Tools.
