Temporary Financial Analyst (18 month contract) <p>As a member of the Business Services Team and reporting to the Manager of Financial Services, the Financial Analyst provides accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis for internal users, including on-going review of the budget, payroll and financial performance in order to forecast year end results and allow teams to alter their spending patterns where necessary/possible. This position is accountable to ensure all budget dollars flowing through the general ledger meet Public Sector Accounting Board (PSAB), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and related legislative regulations.Qualifications: <p> Post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Finance or Commerce <p> Working towards or has attained a recognized accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CGA, or CA) <p> Three years of previous experience in a related field <p> Advanced proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheet programs and applications <p> Demonstrated knowledge of accepted accounting rules, practices, tax laws, and reporting requirements <p> Strong knowledge of fiscal management, business finance, and capital funding <p> Ability to plan, analyze, organize, develop, implement, and interpret goals, objectives, and policies <p> Strong attention to detail <p> High level of integrity and work ethic <p> Strong quantitative and critical thinking skills <p>We thank you for your interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.<p>Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
