Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Tasks: Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems. Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications. Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs . Perform scheduled maintenance service. Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements. Complete reports to record problems and work performed. Provide customer service. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification. Area of specialization: Engine repair. Automatic transmission. Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system. Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is available.
